Enjoy A Preferred Electric Power Rate Of Just 5.8 Cents a kWh Through the NBGC
SAVE ON ELECTRICITY AND HELP THE NEIGHBORHOOD BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
Sign up through the Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club site and obtain a substantial savings off your regular (non space heat) ComEd tariffed rate and at the same time help the NBGC raise much needed funds.
The Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club has arranged though its energy consultant, The Power Group LLC, for Club members and friends to receive a discount off a supplier's already low rate for electric power. In turn, the NBGC will receive monthly income from every account that switches though this website.
The provision of electric power is now deregulated in Illinois, which means that you no longer have to buy your power directly from ComEd. However, ComEd will continue to delivery the electric power to you home and will remain responsible for maintaining continued service to your home.
You will receive a single electric bill from the supplier that includes a lower electricity supply charge and the regular charges for ComEd’s distribution of the electricity to your home. There will be no service interruptions, no additional equipment and no sign up fees, just savings for you.

*Price to Compare = Electric Supply Charge + Transmission Services Charge. Combining the electric supply charge and the transmission services charge, the ComEd Price to Compare effective October 2011 through May 2012 is 7.733 cents per kWh. Electric supply charges for June 2012 - May 2013 will not be determined until May 2012.A typical single family home or an apartment unit in an older or smaller building is on this rate.
Space Heat Customers If you are using electricity to heat your home and are currently on ComEd's space heating rate, it is substantially lower then ComEd's standard residential rate and so the NBGC rate is not for you. Through May 2012 your bill would reflect a space heating electric supply charge of 4.308 cents per kWh and the transmission services charge of 0.765 cents per Accounts with this rate are typically found in newer, large condominium and apartment buildings. If you do not use gas or oil for heating, you are likely on this rate. Your ComEd bill will contain the phrase “Space Heat”. If it does, your current rate is lower the rate currently available through the NBGC.
